The Staggering Costs of Manure Spreaders

by Tim Murray

Cost of feeding the bull: $1.2 billion/year of taxpayers’ money.

Bull’s “market share” of TV viewers? Less than 1%. Its nationwide national newcast viewership dropped 14% in 2018 and it is still dropping. Fewer viewers, fewer ad revenue, which plunged 53% in the last 5 years. They had to axe 35 jobs last November (2019).

Verdict: The bull is not sustainable.

The CBC lobby’s proposed solution? Keep feeding the bull even more of our money!

But most Canadians have another answer: Cut the bull. Cut the subsidies. Let the CBC die—or send it to the slaughterhouse. There is a need for non-commercial broadcasting funded by voluntary subscriptions. But there is no need for STATE broadcasting funded by conscripted tax dollars in the service of White Genocide. Thomas Jefferson put it best:

“To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

Let Leftists fund their own propaganda vehicles. Let them fund their own media outlets--and their own Universities of Higher Indoctrination! Imagine if they had to peddle their bull on their own dime!

Imagine CBC “journalists” having to resort to objective news reporting to compete and stay in business! Imagine them suddenly having to do something that the Carleton School of Journalism and other CBC farm teams never taught them to do!

Imagine them having to approach a story without a preconceived social justice narrative to fit it into. God, they would even have to tell the other half of the Residential School story!

Imagine them having to employ standard English in place of politically correct euphemisms like “undocumented immigrant” rather than “illegal alien”. Imagine them having to call a spade a spade.

Imagine them having to cover reality. All of it. Slanting and spinning the news is one thing. But habitually omitting it is another. Lies of omission are endemic to their modus operandi. That kind of lying is a tough habit to break. You would have better odds in beating an opioid addiction.

If you are on their hit list, you know that CBC “journalists” are accustomed to writing their story before they have even interviewed you. How disorientated would they be if they were instead required to learn the facts first?

If the CBC was cut loose to fend for itself, one could almost feel sorry for these hacks. Almost.

Seriously folks, if “our” CBC doesn’t get another big subsidy fix, they will have to downsize their operation from this:

Manure spreaders don’t come cheap. Especially the state-run model.
